Tumblr

New to the whole adult scene which is why i'm taking things fairly slow. I have setup a few adult blogs over Tumblr. Is that a good place to start? 5 Tumblrs gaining 50+ followers a day. Currently linking to a few free cam offers found on crakrevenue. Now i'm getting plenty of traffic but 0 leads.

Do you think i'm wasting my time? Maybe I should get a domain and link to it, then have some banners or something which will hopefully draw interest.

Any tips/advice you can offer me would be more than appreciated!

How you do link to the cam offers? Some link text "Free cams" or something like that? That makes a big difference.

I do something very similar. Just text like "HD Live Cams" Free Cams Live" etc.. Over 1K UV's, 0 leads

Well, social media is famous for not converting well, as people are not actively seeking something to buy and thus are not in the "buying mood".

Without seeing the ad in the context (you can post a link if you want to or send pm), I will just say that you need to phrase the ad to filter in the folk who are most in the buying mood. It is quite standard practice in PPC ads, as you want to avoid the tire kickers.

anybody knows how to add a Thumbnail image to the videos we embed to Tumblr ?

each time i try to embed a video to my blog it says Video preview not available.

Tumblr is not mentioned for videos. Do not try to put those, it won't work and or you get banned.

I don't know, but at least the adult section rules says clearly that no videos. I haven't paid much attention to video stuff, as I have only used Tumblr for adult stuff.

Uploading Sexually Explicit Video. You can embed anything in a Tumblr post as long as it?s lawful and follows our other guidelines, but please don't use Tumblr's Upload Video feature to upload sexually explicit video. We're not in the business of hosting adult-oriented videos (and it?s fucking expensive).

They have no problem with embedding adult videos

I am not expert about embedding, but what are you trying to embed and how you are trying to embed it now?

I have embedded just youtube videos to my sites (not adult) and the code is quite simple. Maybe you could take example from that?

I get preview for youtube videos, I just tried. Try the code from youtube, just replace the youtube url with your own.

EDIT: Nevermind, now I know why it won't work, or at least I think so. The videos from youtube have the preview embedded in the video, you do so when you upload those videos to youtube. Maybe you should try to embed the preview image to the video itself with video editing program?

if it might help my humble experience says that a lot of the traffic from tumblr comes from mobile, therefore a good way to monetize it is with something that obviously works well via mobile.
