let's see. 10,000 domains means $100,000 per year in renewal fees. no wonder you want to get rid of some of them maybe you should just buy a registrar so you can register them without paying?

That's like going into Walmart and saying, "Millions of items taking up space? No wonder you want to get rid of them!"

The main reason for maintaining an inventory is to have something to sell. Offering items for sale doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bad idea to have items in stock.

I'm not trying to get rid of my domains here. But many of you guys are a mix of webmasters, web designers, programmers, and ecommerce experts. Plus everybody has some individual hobby niche where they could write content or make something better than I could and better than some freelancer in Nepal. So I'm approaching people on GFY differently than I would when somebody offers to buy one of my domains through an email or through one of the domain marketplaces. Here it's different. I'd rather have 10 of my domains being used as sites where the person has an option to buy the domain eventually, back out without paying, or team up ... than just get 1 sale out of the 10. I like to see domains used by people who should use them. That's why I'm in this business.

That's a myth actually. A company like HugeDomains.com owns over 1 MILLION domains and operates its own registrar. But the registrar still has to pay the real cost of domains, which is the same $8 or so for a .COM that I pay. They get more control, but they definitely don't get domains for free!
