I find this thread interesting. Ben a few months ago I went ahead and emailed POF about advertising one of my sites which sells enhancement products. I forget who the person I spoke to was but they said it wouldn't be an issue.
I decided to start with a small campaign and see how it worked out before investing more cash into ads at POF. My ad was never approved, when I contacted POF they said it was too adult for POF and they did not allow such ads. Now mind you, my sites aren't full of hardcore images or anything like that and my ad wasn't x rated. It was a girl with a guy and the banner would say something like "Guys wanna get bigger, click here" (or something similar).
I'm just surprised you would come into a porn forum offering possible ad space and wonder if policy had changed. The person I interacted with seemed to be judging my morality in one of his replies. I realize I'm adding to a thread that has been dormant for nearly 6 months, but I just joined GFY.com the other day and wasn't around for the discussion before.
Currently I don't manage any dating sites, but I do have more than a few dating-themed domains gathering dust. I'm wondering whether Ben (or anybody else) has recommendations for them. Selling is always an option. Development would be too, provided that I can find the right affiliate monetization model.
P.S. Dumb question: How do you send PM's on GFY.com? At other vBulletin forums, I could click on a forum member's username and get a drop-down menu with "Send PM" as an option. That's not working for me on here; so obviously I'm missing something obvious.Need domains? I have between 10,000 and 20,000 domain names of all kinds -- including hundreds of adult domains.
