    WordPress Twitter NSFW Image and Media Importer

    Normally NSFW videos cannot be downloaded for non logged in users.

    This plugin will let you import by status ID, works with images and videos.

    So Far in my testing, you can hotlink the videos as the the url's dont change.

    Curious if anyone else wants to try this one out.

    Leave your contacts and Ill pass the plugin along when its done, just have to run a few tests first.

    Timeline should be by the end of the week.

              It's a bit amusing to see some big companies like OpenAI that are totally against any adult content (even in a textual form), but have their verified accounts at Twitter, which officially hosts porn. This level of hypocrisy is beyond me, as I know that some of my clients use Twitter and Reddit as their main sources of adult images and videos for their websites...

                  If by "importing" you just mean downloading vids from Twitter, you can use YT-DLP, the fork of youtube-dl.

                  Or maybe that's what you're using in the background? That's what all those Pornhub/Xvideos/Youtube downloader websites were doing, just using youtube-dl.

                      youtube dl will not download nsfw twitter videos, it requires a login to do so. also im not using a cli util.

                      ive tried to do that using youtube-dl before, even tried gallery-dl which is another scraper, it requires login as well.

                      also this is for importing right from the post screen, not using a cli util, also this lets you hotlink the videos, not hosting the content yourself.

                                          That's not hypocritical, that's the cost of doing online business. Hell, we all have to deal the same hypocrisy whether in our personal or professional lives.

                                          I'm sure many of us here deal with webhosts or banks or advertisers that also deal with spammers, content thieves, CP, Chinese or Russian businesses, etc. People get all up in arms about abuse in China while spending hours a day on TikTok on their phone made in China. Incest porn was very taboo 10 years ago and now it feels like 90% of content is stepfamily/family swap stuff with blurred lines.

                                          Hypocrisy is our way of life; OpenAI having a verified Twitter account is very low on on the hypocrisy charts.

                                                                                  Google (Youtube) and all the other big tech companies are, and always have been hypocritical.

                                                                                  They try to promote a clean image in a number of ways but then do whatever the hell they want as long as it benefits them.

                                                                                  Of course they can do whatever they want but the hypocrisy is off-putting.

                                                                                                                                                                                      1. creating video in the block editor will make it a video block post with poster image (was creating a shortcode block before)
                                                                                                                                                                                      2. creating image in the block editor will make it an image block
                                                                                                                                                                                      3. added update system so you will get updates via dashboard instead of me sending out emails.
                                                                                                                                                                                      4. added options page to enable setting of featured images for a post where you import a video for themes that have thumbnails.
