We think very socialistic in this house. But with that word being tied to Hitler and all of that its still a bad word. And I agree this 80 billion proposed to arm our shores with glitch filled missiles is ridiculous. They should pump that in to education and more mental health help. Does anyone realize how a nuclear weapon detonates?? From a high charge of explosives inside the missile is the answer. So we are going to shoot them down with what? Rubber bands? Nah explode them over the ocean and poison it some more. No ocean no people.

We do agree our military should be payed better and have better housing and all of that. But to stupidly think technology in the billions will protect us from attack is stupid.

Oh and guerilla warfare James. A handful of men armed with just normal 'guns' can pick a technological military to pieces. Read about Viet Nam sometime. Afghanistan is another. The Indians beat the snot out of the US army for years with a few old rifles and bows and arrows. They probably would have won had they all been armed better and worked together or at least had more numbers.

Who told you there are more Indians now than in 1860? Before Europeans came to the continent there where 20 million natives. It was one of the greatest genocides in history. The problem is your history books are written from the european perspective. History books try not to mention the fact that when europeans came they inadvertantly introduced foreign diseases into a previously untouched civiilization. It was like bringing rabbits into Australia. Instead of bringing enlightnment and civilization to America, Europeans brought death and disease. They even hunted Indians for sport. Some Explorers have accounts of finding whole villages deserted with only piles of bones remaining. There was no one left alive to bury the dead.

I know all too well about the history books and how Manifast Destiny was nothing but a legal wrangling to allow western expansion while pushing the tribes out.

We don't keep the savages locked up on the Res anymore tho. They are all over the country. Visit any Pow Wow in the US and see how many are there ad from that area. They tend to stick to themselves alot.

And alot of the Eastern tribes did NOT have the jet black hair and huge noses like they show on TV. first off americans get raped by the govement enough without us becoming fully socialist. second the coppy cat crap that is going on is due to the media swarming the schools ( like the students don't have enough to distract them) and third after all the crap the US has given the indians I believe that the should be able to build anything on their reservations that they want to ( not that that has anything to do with the topic but it is one of my pet peaves that local government tries to regulate the gambling setups on reservations.) and finally ( just to make this a total runon and on sentance) I believe that people should not have to give up any fundamental freedom that is alloted to us in the US constitution, it is this piece of papper that makes us great.
