What do you use to do graphics?

Ok, you graphics wizards, what program do you recommend?
I'm using Paint Shop, is it time to move to Photo Shop or what do you suggest?

I use Photoshop 5.5 and from time to time I use fireworks.
Both are very nice programs, however, they can eat up the memory when using them. If you start working with something like Photoshop. Save your work very often. Of course after a few times of doing a lot of work and not saving...You will know better.

I use PhotoShop6.0 and it KICKS ASS!!!!!

There are tons of features since 5.0 (I didn't have 5.5)

You can automatically build photo galleries. You can use a new "save for web" tool to see how your image will compress at different compression rates. It's fucking awesome for webmasters, I highly recomend it.

I'm sure there are a ton of more features, but I've only had it a few days. I'll need to play with it longer to discover more.

I use Fireworks because I got a deal and I couldn't afford Photoshop. Fireworks does a lot of neat stuff though!

I use PSP, Fireworks, and Paint, animation shop, and I'm gonna go get Photoshop now and try it. I've heard nothing but good stuff about it.

See if the shop has Image ready 1.0 and the photoshop 5.5 upgrade... If they have both you can get into Photoshop 5.5 for about 300 versus the outright 450 or so that PS 5.5 was running. The PS upgrade allows itself to install as long as the Image Ready 1.0 is present!

                      Photoshop 6 and Imageready 3.0
i think PS6 is worth the money
some designers say paintshop pro is ok but personally i think it PS6 is the greatest

for vector graphics I use corel draw, i want to use illustrator 9 and i will as soon as I get more ram
