The SEO marketers gaming their way to the top of every Google search result might as well be robots. Everything is commercialized. Someone’s always trying to sell you something. Whether they’re a bot or human, they are decidedly fake.
So how can we regain authenticity? What if you want to know what a genuine real life human being thinks about the latest Lenovo laptop?
You append “reddit" to your query (or hacker news, or stack overflow, or some other community you trust).

This reflects what I've felt for a while now. Google totally ignores what you search for half the time, and instead returns results for what it thinks you should have searched for, ignoring half the terms in your query. Or it shows you a page of sponsored links with maybe one or two organic results at the bottom.
They really are squeezing every last cent out of advertising revenue right now, as if they don't make enough money already.Comment

I've been saying this for years. Google doesn't give you the search results you want. This guy in the video gave the perfect example when looking for a solution to his keyboard problem.
You tend to get a selection of narrow results that G likes or wants you to see. Meaning no matter how you change up your search keywords to try to get a different result, you will end up with the same top 5 sites with copy/paste, 'fact based yet telling you nothing' websites . I see this in YT also.
Adult searches yield adult sites less and less too. I'd say 50% of my searches now have the word Reddit at the end of them.Comment
