Social Media IPOs are more of a litmus test of investor interest and acceptance. After that one of market forces.

Social Media stock values should give the sceptics new data to reconsider their positions (MAYBE).

It means that their earnings are confidential during the IPO registration and to get that they need to be under $1billion per the JOBS act...thx obama

True, but it has potential and plenty of room for growth.

Facebook is something that people usually tend to check periodically throughout the day, Twitter users have potential to be more engaged. For example interaction with TV shows, sporting events etc. Real-time event based targeting for advertisers. They have the advantage of a captive audience. That has huge potential for value per end-user.

I'm sure they're working on other monetization methods as well. Their reach on the mobile platform gives them the upper hand to be a pioneer of mobile monetization.

I'm guessing its gonna be a little rocky at the beginning based on current conditions, but the long term potential is huge.
