i did a mainstream event like this many years ago and you could walk up to the google booth and chat with the people working it, very helpful. i wanted to know if this adult convention has the capabilities the mainstream show did such as:

searching your category to show all who are at the convention (on and offline)
selecting from the list of attendees and clicking on them to chat
selecting an attendee and exchanging vcards

matter of great importance:

Loki, when I clicked on masks while making my avatar it took her make-up off and i cant get the make-up button to work and put it back on. i simply cannot show my face without the lipstick. also, i saw an outfit i want from the store in the world but i might need help figuring out how to put on the different pieces

and lastly:

i figured out how to have hot moves on the dance floor but where did everyone get the glowsticks? i need those

I don't have most of the answers for you. Loki might know more. I, personally don't wear lipstick or makeup in RLC :)

But I do know how to get the glowsticks. You need to take the virtual Ecstasy pills. Often you'll find them near dance floors on trays. Otherwise, you may need to ask in the General Chat, "Where can I get a glowie?" and someone will tell you where the tabs are :)

OMG, hahahaha!! Everyone had them on the dancefloor except me :1orglaugh:1orglaugh I saw the trays but didn't know what that was. it was embarrassing being out and about with no makeup when all the other bitches were in hot outfits and dolled up.

I'll put a nice tray of spliffs in your booth tonight, the legality is there is no law against in RLC ;)

Thanks :) I've not actually gotten a chance to tour the convention area yet, I've been busy building booths. T-Shirts and locations, and getting some tours done for people who need a hand getting around in RLC.

Actually Damian, it IS the first of it's kind....

AEVC is the first "ADULT ENTERTAINMENT" Virtual Convention, matters not that second life held an in world convention that showed off the builders, clothes makers, prop makers and mainstream companies.

Or the number of "bullshit" virtual mainstream conventions that take place in a flash environment (those were a HUGE letdown to me lol)

AEVC is the first 360' fully interactive convention based entirely around our industry both online and offline.

I'm hoping this goes better then expected, and that it not only continues but gets bigger year after year, and I for one will be there to sponsor whatever they put out, just after seeing what I have so far AND I've not even gotten to see the convention area yet lol

from what I know about RLC so far....

You will see a list of all who are in whatever realm (room/location) you are at, at any given time

Exhibitors / booth staff will have the words "exhibitor" above their names, so you'll know who to go talk to.

Depending on how the booths are setup, for example my booth....

Tons of stuff in my booth is clickable, and will lead you either to a location of mine inside RLC, OR to a webpage featuring more information

MAGNIFYING GLASSES = webpage links that will open in your default browser

DOOR ICONS = links to other realms inside of RLC

I've advised everyone I've talked to that has a booth to 'bring someone with them' to help work their booths, this will allow people to walk around and network with other booths and still have someone at their own booth to field questions and provide information.

IF you are an exhibitor and you've not yet set this up, get with Anna, Steph or Zak and have them add VIP to your booth help so you can clothe them, and PM with them as needed, (you can also jump to their location as long as you both are VIP's and are added as each others friends)

I advise ALL who are attending this event in whatever fashion to upgrade to VIP at least for the convention period (sponsors, speakers and exhibitors get free VIP "trial" during the convention so no worries there)

But as a VIP you can PM, 'jump to friend's locations' access the clothing system and much more, it will really come in handy during the convention and hell seeing as this is a FREE convention that requires no cost to attend, spending $20 to get all the perks is well worth it!

As for the make-up, I'm sorry can't help you there, I do know that certain options are not available depending on what you have on...

For example you could wear a shirt that also uses the head for a necklace or something like that, that will then negate the makeup tab...

I made a fishnet outfit for a friend in RLC and to make it work 100% I had to use all of the skin files for the outfit, so while wearing that outfit THAT is you being naked lol

Oh come on man. This has been done for years, I worked on virtual exhibitions in 2003, and they were on second life in 2007. OK, it's the first PORN virtual exhibition. But to claim any new ground is being broken here is ridiculous.

You shouldn't lie to try and get attention. And Xbiz shouldn't claim is it the future.

It has been done, in 360 degrees in 2007. No one cared. I hope you make a few bucks but I bet you a tenner it won't be repeated as no one will get any real ROI.

This IS the 'first' adult virtual convention, so who is lying here?, and how is Xbiz lying when they call this "the future" since no one else has done a virtual porn convention it IS in fact the first one, and since real life show attendance is dropping year by year due to a number of things virtual conventions very well COULD be the future.

you can keep your tenner though, I've already seen a good ROI and the convention hasn't even happened yet lol, just going into RLC the past few weeks and getting my stuff setup for the convention I've networked with fellow companies, and sponsored some events (last night for example) I've locked down exclusive content sales, co-branding deals and other things.

After the convention is over and wrapped up I'll be starting my own world inside RLC (like many companies have also done already) to further expand my brands into RLC.

If this is not your thing that's totally fine, virtual worlds are not for everyone, but that doesn't change the facts that RLC is FULL of members who PAY to be there AND pay more to access 'your' content, and they are a platform that has grown and grown since they started years back, and they are holding the first virtual porn convention.

You are taking a very old technology and a very old idea and claiming it is new because it is the first time it has been used for PORN.

I remember when we used to innovate. Now we take failed old ideas and try and make money from them.
