However, after reading about Mr. Stodghill (spelling?) it does pain me to have to say that Donovan has a point here. Believe me, I do not like saying this, but I see nothing wrong with the site as it is right now. However, if he pulls a switcharoo later and starts directing the traffic toward some personal enterprise/con/ripoff/bamboozle, I'd have to say let's all meet at a Denny's in his home town and do an "intervention" ;) .

I didnt know who this was till he was exposed once again.. I just hope this is on the up and up.. and hope this little girl is found.. 4:00 yesterday morning David claims to have the hosting contract from the FBI.

Lets think about this realistically. Do a whois on charlottewebhosting.com then ping ns1.charlottewebhosting.com see the ip address? Do a whois on that ip.

It doesn't come back to Charlottewebhosting.com ... therefore charlottewebhosting.com is a reseller.

Now the upline provider is in NH. Does anybody know what bandwidth costs are in NH?

Most hosts up there are for small mainstream sites only. I can guarantee you the bandwidth costs up in that area are over $240.00 mbps. I challenge anybody to prove me wrong on this.

Now lets continue on.

He then put up a page that had clear links to his hosting company. No problem anybody who does this would naturally put a sponsored by link. However a little while later the site got real slow and people had to start using the IP. What happened here? Well I can speculate that he was burning up a server.

A little while later the site came back ... more speed more power ... but guess what ... it now has another link. The new link is to his upline provider who now sees he's in for the long haul (speculating again here maybe).

Along with that a link appears to paypal under the name of [email protected] (things that make you go hmmmm) could it be his upline provider started bitching about the costs? This would be my thought.

Now a little while later a message board appears. But it has a catch. You must register to post. (how many here can say harvesting email addresses?) Now I ask you to use good judgement here. Say your child is missing and it's getting national media attention. Would you want the message board locked down to only registered users? Or would you allow anonymous posts that could bring your child home?

Next we get MGibson (David Stodghill) here on the boards and he's claiming ... all is well ... I'm not a scammer ... and he tells us "My good friend Mark Lunsford asked me to do this" well hmmm that goes against "The FBI asked me to do this" and if you all watched the news and Larry King Marks words were this "someone has graciously put up a website to help in the search" ... Shouldn't those words be "a friend of the family has put up a website" ?

Now further on we expose the paypal link to David... within minutes it's redirected to a new account of [email protected]. Things that make you go hmmm again.

Please look at the above facts and understand why I am asking David to step up to the plate and turn the domain over to the proper authorities. People that can really help and not go in the hole with this.

I will also state this ... right now I cannot devulge all that I know is facts ... I will after this mess is cleared up. But I again urge you David to hand the domain over to the proper authorities that can do something with it. Remove all links to yourself from that page.

Jessica Strategy

The Jessica thread has turned into a David-bashing thread. While interesting, it's useless.

I was hoping that yesterday others would pick up on the strategy I was using and begin faxing these flyers to truckstops along the interstate highways in their area. I sent out 4 to the largest truckstops in the Coachella Valley and one to the only route I know of that circumvents the valley.

If others will help in this strategy, it may be, just maybe, that one of the flyers will get a hit. The southern approach to LA is covered. If we can get some eastern webmasters to do the same along the I95 going north, the I75 northwest through Georgia, and more spots along the I10 (New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, etc) it might help. Also, Bay Area webmasters should cover the I80 inbound, and the I5 up and down the valley. New York, you know the deal too. Any other major cities, please will local webmasters do the same? Her mother was last reported in Ohio, so webmasters near I64 westbound and highways leading east to the coast could be particularly helpful.

Ok here's the deal apparently David has said that I have called him and threatened him.

This is not true as I didn't have Davids phone number. He called me after I got in touch with Shannon Lunsford through the Mirc chat David and his upline setup.

However he has the Citrus County Sheriffs office believing he is a good guy and they are allowing him to host the website.

So long as the Sheriffs department knows about him and his dealings I am stepping aside because the focus is on finding Jessica.

The family and the sheriffs office wants to deal with David.

I just got off the phone with the sheriffs department who stated that to me plainly.

The center for missing and exploited chaildren is involved. The new paypal that is on the site is being controlled by the family. This was confirmed to me by the sheriffs department. So anybody wishing to donate at this time can.

The family now has control of the website and all the passwords.

Personally I am making a donation now.

I am confident that between the family and the sheriffs office that David has reliquished the control to the proper authorities.

Just so people know how confident I am that this is being handled by the proper people after talking to the sheriffs department here is a copy of what I just sent to help the family out.
