    How much to charge?

My email newsletter, which I started last fall, is up to about 27K+ subscribers and getting roughly 1.2K new subscribers a week. I've gotten a few IMs from people wanting to know how much to advertise.

My question, how much should I charge advertisers to have their ad in my newsletter?

Depends on the Niche of the newsletter and how targeted the traffic is.
Also, the Responce ratio would count for something.

The newsletter is for my adult community website, so there isn't a niche break down.

The response is pretty high. After I send it out, almost all of them visit my site.

on the next newsletter, why not add a 'dummy' ad - send em to a page you make up. Maybe make a couple, with one at the top of the letter, one at the bottom. That way you'll get a good idea of the clickthru's on the ads, not just the clickthru's on the newsletter. Of course the majority will visit your site when they receive the newsletter, since it's for that they signed up; what you need to know for pricing is how succesful the ads are.

That way you can place the pricing based on percent clickthru's (and hence traffic) based on ad placement....

For coding work - hit me up on andy // borkedcoder // com
(consider figuring out the email as test #1)

As much as this is a good idea, it wont work. Different ads and the text used have different results. Not to mention there is the BRANDING aspect of the ads, which this type of idea misses out on.

This does give me an idea of getting user demographics and price also based on that.

I can suggest you partner variant if the sponsor who's ad you want to add to your newsletter supports it. Link+your refcode, what else?

I had a look at http://collegesucks.com. Great job! Don't want to work with MovieRevenue? Better traf - more percent. Welcome!

I sell all my ad space, so normally the sponsors themselves buy it and it's up to them if they want to break their own terms -lol.

Forgive me, since I don't use these types of services myself, but I did have a look at your site at what's with all the 'minimum prices'? It's either 2c/click or its $2/click (with the odd advertiser getting 2c/click). If it's an ad to a paysite, then it's 2c/click, not a minimum of ~2c/click - that's just too ambiguous.

And your screenshot of traffic is useless, since you can't make anything out.

Plus, this line got me baffled as to how you run your ads, and what a potential advertiser can expect:
"We currently limit the number of spots to 30 pay per click ads. This means only 50 advertisers can purchase these ads."

If there are 30 ads available to display, then how can 50 advertisers purchase them? Are 5 ads dedicated the other 25 rotated?

That's because it's not a screen shot of "traffic". It's a screen shot of the PPC Ad Manager system that advertisers can use to manage their ads.

newsletter traffic can be quite productive.

is it just a newletter opt in list or is it from a program?

SO what would be a good price? $100 to have your ad at the top?
