.......we had the knowledge that the world really was going to end in 5 years - every scientist on Earth agreed that there was no way of stopping it.
if it was a day or a week until doomsday no doubt there would be mass hysteria and probably anarchy.
but the certain end of the world in 5 years - it's interesting to consider what would ensue in those 5 years - how badly would society break down? would people continue to go on working and operating their businesses? would you send your kids to school even when you know that anything they'll learn really isn't going to do anything for them? would people still have children knowing that they won't even reach 5 years of age? how would the rich react - they have vast wealth and there's no longer any point in investing and growing that wealth. how bad would crime be? etc etc
