It really is a complicated situation. Illegal Mexican labor is what has kept the US economy going the last 10 years while the construction explosion took advantage of the cheap labor to maintain margins in the real estate boom.

But now real estate's tanking, construction's even worse off and nobody needs 'em any more. So they're turning to their only other option...crime. It's not like they're going to go home. Ha!

I was really excited when I heard that Mexico was going to legalize posession of drugs like Amsterdam does. It was a damn shame to learn later that it was purely a political move by Fox to have something to hold over the US. He knew that was a lightning rod issue to the US and that he'd gain an incredible tourist market if the law passed. At the last minute, he flip flopped when the US no doubt did some sort of bidding for him.

Fuckin' politics...fuckin' politicians and fuckin' lawyers. You always find 'em in the same place. GFY
