Just recieved a call I know came from here ... (pissed)

Look I'm all in for fun and games ... but this call went to fucking far.

An internet relay service just called me and said that they were recieving a call for me from a deaf person and that they had to relay the call.

They were very professional in thier job yet they were scammed.

I know what it costs for someone to relay messages like this because I have a deaf brother and a blind brother.

Sopme asshole here just cost this poor company some money to call me on a fucking joke.

The guy asked if I wanted to buy a short ICQ number.

Now while all jokes are great this went to far. I personally just donated 20 dollars to the people on my credit card because I don't feel games like this should be played.

Whoever just did this ... Fuck You ... people that need this service. This tied up a line that could be used for a much better purpose.

I have a log of EVERY fucking call you received.

There were 6 calls...NOT 45 and 2 of those 6 were YOU calling the number yourself.

Now why would you come here and lie to us all like this. I can post a screen cap of the log for proof.

Ok. Let me inform you of something here.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to tie up their lines. This one prank didn't hurt anyone nor did it cost anyone anything. These places are overstaffed to make sure the lines are never tied up. The relay operator was probably busy knitting a sweater or doing crosswords when the callw as placed. The only one hurt in the prank was a sweater.

News Flash ... the deaf association pays for those calls unlinke the ip-relay thats owned by a phone company.

Yes the phone company can absorb the costs a lot easier than a foundation thats non-profit and relys on donations to stay running.

It is paid for by the goverment and sprint. So the employee's do get paid ( min wage btw ) so it is costing them money but hardly anything
the calls cost the company less than a penny a minute

The goverment pays the employee's wages once a month\
