Barcelona housing is about 6,000 ? / meter sq. Ridiculously high. In the last year prices have gone up 14% overall in the city. There has never been a real estate crash here, the bubble is enormously big and when it does pop alot of people are going to get seriously fucked. The further away you move from barcelona along the coast, it will get a bit cheaper, but there has also been a huge influx of Brits and Germans who by second homes along the costa del sol. Prices are so high that its culturally normal to live with your folks till your like 35 and only move once you've married and have saved some money after which you'll have a nice 50 year mortgage to look forward to
