Being a video guy I am biased towards video but I have always liked still photograhy too. The thing I like about still work is that it's more dynamic because you catch that one monent in time and if you get "the shot" there's nothing like it. With video on the other hand it's constantly moving so you get to see everything, but there are still instances where you get amazing stuuf and that's always great too.
if you are talking about like a solo girl site I think the 2 would work hand in hand. With the pics, like I said, you have that dynamic factor and you get to see the model in all kinds of different poses. With the video though, you get to see the medel's personality and almost get to know her in a way.
I think for hardcore sites the video aspect is the way to go. Pics are still great but the video is just going to be more appealing for obvious reasons. Also, I see your point in some videos having long load times but with broadband access getting more and more popular along with better compression tools and software, I think that will start to become a thing of the past, at least until HD is the norm anyways.
