Good question. I sent a package from Mexico to the US, and they routed it through Canada to avoid customs charges.

UPS has a UPS Standard To & From Canada (which is ground transportation) so it should be pretty cheap compared to regular UPS International Express/Expedite prices.

I bought a dell laptop 1.5 years ago that cost me 3k and i think i paid 200+ for custom charge. just paid 7k canadian for a damn laptop and now I got the vibe its going to cost me another 1k to get it

quiet a bunch to be honest...

it's not the customs fees that are expensives... it's the taxes... the GST and PST will kill you.

if that 5525$ is in cad, with your 8% + 7% taxes + customs, get ready to pay a big 900$+ cad at delivery.

I ordered some auto accessories from the U.S. once and it ended up costing me almost as much in border fees as it cost for the whole item.

I always try to find a Canadian retailer now for anything I am looking for, since bringing stuff across the border never seems to work out.

That must be one heck of a computer for that price.
