    Cop shoots her 3 triplets then shots herself

    A CRAZED mother yesterday shot her three five-month-old triplets before turning the gun on herself and committing suicide.

    Police officer Maureen Koulen, 26, used her service weapon to blast the tots - two girls and a boy - in the stomach at her home in Suriname.

    The babies miraculously survived the incident after but were reported to be in a critical condition in hospital.

    Their father and two brothers - aged three and six - were not home at the time of the shooting.

    Mr Koulen's sister Nancy Cheuk-A-Lam said: "We had no indication that she was in such an emotionally desperate state. We are in total shock".

                              My sister had triplets in November. Three girls, and i love them to death. The oldest one already went through an open heart surgery but she survived. My sister went through too much for those girls and loves them dearly. It is/was alot of stress, but that is what that is going to make it really special.

                                      I'm calling bullshit - if you're going to kill your own kids, why shoot them in a place that causes the most agony and takes the longest to kill you?

                                      Surely a cop would know that, and being a mother; would want for them to avoid pain.

                                          maybe she just pointed at them and fired away really fast, put no real thought into it...or she just stood above them and fired at them one by one.

                                          I doubt she put that much thought into it.

                                          what is the "standard" cop gun that is issued to UK cops?

                                          it makes me wonder, someone had to hear her shoot herself and then rush in and rush the babies to the hospital. if no one was home, then she would have left 3 babies shot in the stomach just bleeding to death....someone had to have found them quickly..
