    What skills/experience in this industry do you have?

    I'm curious as to the average level of knowledge of this industry among GFY posters, so please post a short overview of your experience and skills here.

    As for me:

    8 years in the industry.
    Experience running tgps, linklists, blogs, freesites, toplists, review sites, se-spamsites, online communities, a sex guide site and a story site.
    Knowledge of html, xhtml, css, javascript, php, c++, basic flash, basic server admin, basic photoshop, intermediate seo.

              i'm trying to get into the sales / customer rep. part of things though.

                      I've been working in the news field as an editor for the last 5 plus years but about 6 years ago I did some work at foxes.com. I basically organized all of the pics that were going ontot the site into the proper directories and made sure all the links worked. I also answered customer emails and looked out for CC fraud issues. Right now I am trying to get my foot in the door doing some shooting and editing.

                          You don't have much experience on the tech side of the industry, but you have excellent people skills, are a hard worker and an expert at marketing.

The popular ones are the ones who manage to sell themselves constantly. A good resume is nice, but if people have noticed you before you even applied, they have more reason to believe that you are able to do what they're seen you do - draw attention.

                                                                                                  First and foremost, I'm a pshop expert. Been workin' with it since it was called BarneyScan...then Aldus Photostyler...then eventually bought out by Adobe. Proficient in other apps such as coreldraw, illustrator, PSP, photoimpact, poser, bryce and a few others I can't think of.

                                                                                                  Photography, video production, website design, website admin, marketing & promotion, creative web graphics (logos, banners, etc), set & prop design/construction, lighting, rigging, post production editing.

                                                                                                  I don't do windows. Sorry ladies.
