too many factors to consider. I've sold some for < $1K a long time ago that I wish I held onto. but I've bought others for far more. but most of my 4 letters actually mean something.
i.e.
domain & concept:
DJHQ.com - "DJ HQ" for an online/offline company I'd like to launch someday.
TVHQ.com - online TV portal/aggregator w/ ugc-features.
InLA.com/InLosAngeles.com - "In LA" - LA news & local info - AMEX went out and bought IN-LA.com
plus I have a few others to use as abbreviations for my own longer domains. At one time I believe I owned several thousand, and I'm sure all of the ones I let go of years ago are gone now, except the ones with Z,Q,X,Y,etc

But my biggest regret in life is letting go of EBAY.com years ago.
