    My first ever shoot !!! (pics)






    i was really nervous.. because didn't know if anyone would be late or not show up.... but everything happened perfectly and to plan... photographer did great.. model did great, makeup artist did great... model was extremely easy to work with.... have another shoot on friday.... and 2 other models are planned for early next month....

                                              Nice shoot. It is definetly a hotel shoot but who cares? Being on the road as much as i am with my day job and the union i feel righ tat home looking at hotel suroundings. Of course don't mind the haters.... Keep up the good work.

                                                          Hotels can make great location shots - especially down here in Florida in the winter. This is a great way to write off some travel and get a great location for a shoot.

                                                                                                                                                                                      looks like your "photographer" used a digital camera set on "daylight" when WB should have been set to "tungsten".

                                                                                                                                                                                      common problem when the girl walks into the room and takes her clothes off, sometimes the shooter loses concentration we'd all be lying if we claimed this never happened to us.

                                                                                                                                                                                      this can be corrected in post-processing, but you can save plenty of work just by setting camera white balance correctly the first time or doing a custom white balance with a grey card, have the model hold a jobo or macbeth color swatch test card---take a properly exposed pic of her holding this color chart, then you are shooting a known color which can be instantly corrected to the known RGB or sRGBvalues or the test card with no guessing.

                                                                                                                                                                                      it's fine if the pix are yellow on purpose, but they will be more difficult to sell if color balance is off.

                                                                                                                                                                                      looks like the color temp is off to the same degree for all shots, so just tweak one in photoshop, then do a batch conversion with those sRGB settings.
