I don't know where you live but grab some coffee at the Coffee Bean in Studio city. Go shopping at The Beverly Center. Fuck off for a full day at The Santa Monica Promenade. Walk down Melrose on a Sat. afternoon. Broadway in Santa Monica is also a special place to be just about any time after 5pm.
LA has some BEAUTIFUL chicks but they aren't worth a damn mentally so I give NY & Miami a higher rating than it.
