It only takes 2 days for the nicotine to be out of your system, after that, it's just the habit nagging at you.

When you feel like having a smoke, think about how bad the ashtrey smells and think about the fact that that's how you smell when you smoke.

Eat some fresh fruits and notice how much better they smell now that your sinuses aren't burnt out. (this one takes a couple weeks to notice, but pay attention)

When you wake up in the morning, take a deep breath and think about when you used to wake up coughing.

nice work madawgz...i quit years ago and i can't tell you how diferent things are going to be in a few months, if you stick to it. you'll taste food again, your sense of smell will go back to normal, and the next time people around you have a cold you might not even catch it.

When I quit I substituted cigarettes with Triple X mints. It seemed to keep my mind off it, plus It was a nice change to actually get complemented on my breath.
