Long story short(er)..............
The wife takes our oldest son to his baseball game and I stay home with the baby and make dinner. Anyhow she comes home and there is damage to the car door. She thinks it is damaged from a baseball that was hit out of the park during the game. Well I take a look and ask my wife "Where's your purse?" She says, "In the trunk where I always put it when I go to the games." I pop the trunk and whallaa! It's empty. The wife's purse is gone, my middle son's (whose life is baseball) bag is gone to include about $350 worth of gear in it and my oldest sons IPod was gone (he stowed it away in the glove box out of plain sight.). In total there is about $1000 worth of items and cash missing.
Right away I called the banks and cancelled everything with her name on it. And within minutes, a transaction attempt is made at a local gas station; fortunately decline! So now the cops have a pic of his face and his vehicles license plate number so with a little luck we have some justice. I know I won?t ever see the money of the items, but some justice feels pretty good. I don't even mind me being the victim; it's my middle son who loves baseball being the victim that really tares me apart. I would think there?s a good chance this person will be doing the same thing tonight. So me and one of my cop buddies are gonna do a little stake-out in the parking lot and if this guy happens to fall in to my fist a half dozen times before the Sheriffs get there, then oh well.
