Want some cheese with that WHINE, noone caresOriginally posted by rantsMy name is the most fucked up, but I'm not going to post it on a msg board cause theres only few people in the world with my name and i don't want someone to google it and come here!
I was teased so much in elementary school because of my name, life was torture!!!!!!! I had a miserable childhood and im sure my name had a lot to do with that! When I moved to America when I was like 12, we went through a "name book" so I could pick an american name so I wouldn't be teased anymore.
Having a bad name can really fuck you up. When I think about it around 20 YEARS later, I still remember the name of the boy who made fun of me and I'm still traumatized.
Trust me, giving your kids fucked up names you think are "special" or "unique" can lead to teasing, bullying...
Remember what happened to those Columbine kids when they were bullied? They shot up the school. Some other people can't handle it and commit suicide.
I am not saying giveing your kids a bad name will cause them to commit suicide, but if they have a lot of other problems and are constantly teased and picked sometimes it can make them feel like they can't handle it anymore..
Luckily I grew up "ok" but I am STILL traumatized to this DAY.Comment

And, any feminised version of a male name....like Harriet for Harry....awful...Originally posted by ronaldoAny names I associate with older people, probably because they're generational such as Eunice, Gertrude, Archie, Ernie etc. etc.
Names that rhyme with last names. Think, people, think, before naming children....Raven

You have serious issues. You take life too seriously. I got tortured MERCILESSLY in school over my name.. but I realized as I got older more and more people just thought it was neat, and they ALWAYS remembered who I was. People knew me I hadn't even heard of, just because I had a super unusual name. If you can't move above and beyond the issues of schoolyard teasing (which is an issue even for people who don't have strange names, kids are cruel), and even to the point of considering or suggesting suicide because of having an unusual name, you have problems that go way beyond having parents with an odd sense of humor. Changing your name legally isn't THAT big a deal, if worst comes to worst. Cripes.Originally posted by rantsMy name is the most fucked up, but I'm not going to post it on a msg board cause theres only few people in the world with my name and i don't want someone to google it and come here!
