I zoned out listening to Voodoo by Godsmack and had an idea about world peace...
What if the UN challenges the Taliban/ Al Queda to form a cohesive fighting unit in Saudi Arabia. They would be called The Saudi Arabian Marines. They will be under the control of the Saudi royal family. Once they have formed up and organized, we can leave Saudi Arabia and let the Taliban (S. A. M.) defend the country. Since Saudi Arabia is part of the UN, then anyone trying to attack Saudi, attacks all members of the UN.
This will get our troops out of Saudi Arabia and Afganistan.
Then, give the insurgents in Iraq an opportunity to go to Saudi Arabia un hampered and let them melt into the Saudi Arabian Marines.
Then, the level of violence in Iraq will drop to a level as to where the Iraqi police can now handle the security of Iraq and we can leave there too.
Our presence in the middle east will be in Kuwait only.
That seems like a fair compromise. Getting off the enimies list is another way to stop a fight.
