it does - where have you been? before WW2 there were campaigns against the arms industry in america for being warmongers because of the economic value of war.. your average citizen knew it way back then... i did not however position myself for or against it.

Anyone in their right mind knows that clinton fucked our economy due to his inaction. He was to busy playing mr. nice guy while reaping (and taking false credit for) the economic seeds CLEARLY planted by the Reagan Administration and further insured by Bush sr.

Yeah I'm sure it's allll Bush's fault that the economy is going down. The slide all started with the dotcom crashes, which had to do with over-inflated profit projections, not who was sitting in the oval office.

The idea that an American President has much sway over the economy is a myth perpetuated by both political parties to lay claim or cast blame whenever it is expedient, but not very based in reality. An awful lot of economists point out that idea that "war is good for business" is bullshit, although there are some short-term gains.
