Is it me or does Skype suck?

you have to leave voicemail I think... try upgrading skype, you might have an older version

Yes. If your friend is offline or even if their computer isn't on, you can still leave a message and they can retrieve it the next time they log on to Skype.

You can leave a text message on skype. It says that it is not delivered YET. Once the person comes online they will see those messages you sent.

uh, skype works fine for calls to landlines, my main use for it. I don't think it's intended as a text messaging program

Just finished a two hour international conference call on Skype with 4 people and it worked fine - and cost nothing!

I was going to say that personally, I don't use it. But I know KRosh uses it religiously.

We use it for work since im in Nashville, and they are all in Philly. We have full office meetings on Skype. Works great. I just hope they will add the ability to do video conferences with more than one person soon.

I've never tried Skype before but I did see the computer stores selling Skype phones. Are they worth the whole or a good pair of headset would do the trick ?
