PC's are junk, that is why they are so fucking cheap. I have had a MAC Quadra 840 AV, a Mac G3, A Mac G4, A Mac G5, and a Mac Powerbook. None of them EVER had to be taken in to get fixed, not once. The only time they ever crashed was when System 9 was on it, that shit was crap.
I have also had computers ALL my life, my first computer was a HeathKit that my father and I built he was/is a computer engineer, and we have also had a PC since they came out (whatever was before the 286 A-something I forget, 286, 386, 486, Pentiums). Also had a commodore 64 and 128.
I have used Corel Draw 1 thru 8, Illustrator 4 - 10, Photoshop 2 thru CS2, Every Version of Flash, Director 6, 7, 8, MX. Premeire 4 - 6, After Affects 4, 5, 6, Final Cut Pro, Dreamweaver 4 - MX, BBedit, Quicken, Quickbooks, Mircrosoft Office... blah blah blah I have been doing this a long time.
Out of ALL of my computers, Mac has been the best I have worked with, hands down. The only computer that I have ever come across that even compared to a Mac and was actually better at the time, was a Silicone Graphics.
The saying "Macs are for designers" is so fucking stupid. That is soooo old, the reason they WERE for designers is because Macs had a larger and more accurate system color palette than PC's had. So printing was more accurate to what you saw on your monitors.
Also the "Nothing is compatible with Mac" is pure 100% crap, or the old "can't open Mac files"... well if you were too stupid to type the file extension so you could open it on a PC, that's was your problem.
You get a better built, a more stable, and better looking computer when you buy a Mac. Now with the Mac Book Pro and it's ability to BOOT UP in Windows XP or OS X, I can not think of any reason why anyone would buy a PC other than they can't afford a Mac, and that's a pretty good reason, not everyone can afford the best.
Take it from me, a person who has actually probably used every fucking type of computer there is, do yourself a favor and buy a Mac, it will be the best decision you made. I can't think of one reason to buy a PC other than they're cheap.
