servermatrix assholes, i need hosting

after fuckin around with servermatrix for the past 3 weeks (signed up with a dedicated and they gave me a hard drive so full of errors and fuked up the hard drive craped out and i lost everything, this was only 2 weeks after i signed up with them)

anyhow im lookin for a dedicated from a reliable company (at least checks the hard drives for massive errors before useing them) with good uptime. I will be running 2-5 mgps on it. Hopefully under $150 a month or less, 2mbps or better.

What do the rest of you mgp owners use for hosting. Anyone have any good specials going on.

yea i tried msging him, guess hes not on, whats their customer service like, do they charge you extra if you ask for help installing zend ect?

The absolute best host I've ever been with is www.techiemedia.com I just got my server with them like 3 months ago and they simply rock. They install all that crap like image magic, zend, ...well anything you need and no they don't charge any extra for it. I'm like a support pain in the ass because I cant do anything on a server myself, yet these guys hook me up with everything I need. I saw them recommended on a hosting thread so I talked to them and a few others and decided to go with them. I am very happy with the service, prices, and support thus far

the sever was only up for a week, i never expected them to give me a harddrive that was dieing and full of errors

This is the problem with 24/7 ICQ support people always expect the same tech to be on call 24/7 ... Thus the reason I had my break down ... phone ringing constantly ended up by the time the real day started I was still half asleep from the tech support the night before.

Humans need things like sleep, rest, and proper excersize and food. I applaud the people that claim ICQ support 13 hours a day.

The webmasters on these boards see 24/7 support and always assume it's by the same tech. This is not possible and when it's tried the tech gets burned out beyond belief. Thus anger flairs up and lots of bridges are burned. (this is all said from expieirence)

There is nobody that can do 24/7 tech support unless they have the staff to do it. 1 tech doesn't cut it.

Now saying that there are a few places that I know personally has that kind of support:

These are the companies that in my mind and expierience have gone beyond the initial growth period and truly has 24/7 support.

Hope this reply sheds a bit of light on the whole "give me your techs ICQ because I demand 24/7 support" idea.

ISPrime works very well for us.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

Not to be an idiot but I have to question this:

Server and 10 mbps of bandwidth for $150.00 a month?

1u in a rack with power at a minimum would be 25 dollars.

The cost of the server alone unless your using home computers would be about $1500.00

10 mbps ... even at cogent prices would cost you $180.00 a month

So how can you sell it at $150.00 a month? Unless your looking at the sale and then going to jack the price up later.

yup, i am also very happy with their matriXtreme plan.. since it is unmanaged i had to do some tweakings at start but after that everything went smooth..
