STEROIDS... who takes them?

I have friends that swear by their results and they look good -- for now. But are the results worth the health risk?

1. Would you do them?
2. Do they have a place in sports?
3. How many people have done them?
4. How many people that have done them had bad side effects?

-Jason Giambi admitted to it... almost retired and died!
-Bonds says he rubbed the "cream" (form of steroids) on his legs but said he didn't know it was steroids? He is now the HR Champ or Chump?
-Rumors are McGwire took it?
-Ken Caminiti won the NL MVP while on steroids -- amitted to it -- died 8 yrs later directly related to it!
-9 High School students in Texas admitted to using them last week.
-John Matusak and Lyle Alzado of the Raiders died from steroids!
-Even the Governor of California did them -- ARNOLD!

ive done a cycle of winny, as long as you dont use them for a prolong ammount of time, take the correct after meds you shouldnt have a problem, they dont make your penis shrink they make your balls shrink.

go to a doctor first. if your body, eating regiment, and workout blueprint isn't in place your wasting you time. steriods are a commitment and for some can fuck you up if you don't do the proper research of what you are really getting into.

I feel the same way. I have seen some people in the old gyms that I used to go to on some crazy shit. When they asked if they could work in with you, they looked like they would snap you in half if you said no.

I?ll admit that I did an 8-week cycle about 2 years ago ..not the smartest thing but I workout a lot and wanted to give it a try. I put on about 20lb of muscle during those 8-10 weeks. I only did 1 shot a week of Sustanon 250 ... its an oil-based injectable containing four different testosterone compounds: testosterone propionate, 30 mg; testosterone phenylpropionate, 60 mg; testosterone isocaproate, 60mg; and testosterone decanoate, 100 mg. The mixture of the testosterones are time-released to provide an immediate effect while still remaining active in the body for up to a month.

Sustanon to put on mass and size while increasing strength. However, unlike other testosterone compounds such as cypionate and enanthate, the use of Sustanon leads to less water retention and estrogenic side effects. You can avoid most side effects by using an antiestrogen such as Nolvadex (tamoxifen citrate) or Proviron (mesterolone).

It did increase my liver function and cholesterol levels but nothing to bad and they went right back down after my use ?. I don?t think I would do it again and being 29 and married ? I?m not really looking to impress anyone ? all that shit about your balls shrinking and man boobs is only if you use high levels for a very long time ?

Arnolds heart problem was genetic and he had it from adolesence. Steroids had nothing to do with it.

if you're ever going to try steroids... be sure you know exactly what you're doing in the gym, there is a science to weight training believe it or not - and know exactly how to eat (nutrition is the most important aspect) - and know everything about the drugs you're about to inject in your body.

in my personal opinion, roids ain't worth it. in non-athletes, they're there to serve a purpose based solely on vanity... having big muscles is nice n' all, but it doesn't outweight the risks involved.

and with that said, it's very possible to get a great physique without the use of steroids.

and on TOP OF THAT... if you decide to take steroids in hopes of these GREAT GAINS and you don't know what you're doing, your gains will not be great, and you will most likely NOT keep them.

it is really amazing that people have almost no clue as to how common illegal steroids are in most sports. you simply cant be a competitive bodybuilder or a competitive athlete in many sports without using a wide assortment of illegal drugs.

steroids are very useful. doctors prescribe them all day, every day for a variety of reasons. the real problem is steroid abuse and people using extremely powerful drugs without doctors supervision and no clue as to what they are doing.

and galleryseek said it well... "steroids" don't necessarily equate to great or lasting results. you can hurt yourself, you might not even be getting real steroids (counterfiet/fake stuff is everywhere), you can cause permanent damage to your body and on top of everything, you still have to train correctly, train hard, eat perfectly, sleep well etc. etc. etc.

if you want to get big without competing, supplements, good diet and good training can do wonders.

McGwire admitted to taking Andro, which was officially made illegal by the Government on January 20th 2005. So yes, his 1998 record breaking year is now tainted.

Sosa, Bonds, Palmero, etc... are all likely on Andro at the very least.

But it's funny how baseball puts in new steroid testing rules at the same time the Government bans Andro.
