See this is where your thought process strays. They are not doing it to make more money from us, do you really think that the $10 million (20,000 x $500) is going to make a dent in the billions that they make each year ?? They are tired of the crap that they have to put up with from the adult on-line community, we have done this to ourselves !!! Bait and switch tactics, relentless spamming, cheap trials with $40 rebills, the list goes on. It's a good thing that they didn't pull an American Express on us and drop adult all together.
I realize that this is going to hurt some, and put some adult webmasters out of the paysite business, but what doesn't kill you will make you stronger, and more profitable.
Some will say that it does nothing since they can just move the billing offshore, but the writing is on the walls my friends, Visa/MC does not want people in the marketplace billing without them knowing who, when and where. Today it's Visa USA, tomorrow its Visa international !!! You'd better make sure that you are ready for it to happen, no matter where you go!
I congratulate those that are keeping their heads about them, and looking for solutions. As for the rest of you that are running around crying that the sky is falling, and fuck Visa. I only have two words for you "Grow Up". This is a business and the sooner that you realize that, the sooner you will become successful.
