if you converted 1:200 and were paid half of what you were paid for a site that converts 1:400, the total revenue would be equal.
However since traffic/bandwidth etc cost money which grows with the number of hits you send, you would make more money with a better converting site. But the only way you could make twice as much is if you were losing money on every sale (your cost for aquiring the sale was greater than the revenue generated)
