The dude at Best Buy said that I could only record shit off the T.V. but I know that's bullshit. How do I hook up my regular DVD player to my DVD Recorder so that I can burn movies that I rent?

There may be copy protection in place on the machine. i know that most modern vcrs cannot record anything comming from a Dvd unless you put it through a video mixer first or else all you get is a scrambled picture. Might be the same for the dvd recorderComment

They are all copy protected so that you can't do that.
It's far better to just rip and burn with DVD Decrypter on your PC.Comment

you cant its called macrovision, copy protection, some regionfree dvd players and recorders have the ability to turn it off most havent
