I think it's really competitive. On average the cpcs are lower in comparison to industries like insurance, or mortgages for example, but it's so broad. There's so many products and so many niches that all together, I think it would be greater than 1%. For example, you can have a product site with 30,000 urls.Comment

I doubt adult makes a dent in the big scheme of things. While adult might have large quantity of clicks, there's tons of terms which go for much higher CPC's than adult.
