Of course, you aren't going to tell THEM that their premises are wrong, you only want to get rid of the portion that constitutes argumentation against your belief system.

                    No, you idiot I was commenting on the stupid posts by 90% of the people to reply to this thread. 'your dad's an idiot' and so forth. For his individual situation I don't really care, but I did feel the need to point out how stupid most people are in this thread.

                    And for the record, he might need to stand up for himself, but he must also remember who his father is, what he has done for him, all that he has sacrificed and what it would mean to his father if he did go ahead with it. He is not simply another person standing in your way, he is the one who gave life to you, and the one who spent years and years working to put food on the table, to send you to school, to turn you into a decent human being. Just because you are now an adult, it certainly doesn't mean you should piss all over that without a second thought.
