Honestly you can get 10mbps ranging from $200 to $1,000. That should tell you something. The price depends on both the quality of bandwidth you're buying and the quality of service you'll receive.

There's quite a bit of difference between the two. One places a limit on the bandwidth you receive, meaning at your peak traffic times you could see quite a slow down on your site. From what I've seen, my prices are pretty competitive. When you see a banner or ad saying "10mbps just $400 a month!", 9 times out of 10 that's for an unmetered connection, meaning capped. Ask how much they want for a burstable connection and it will probably be up around $600-800.
