Just ordered this cheap $305 19" LCD

    Just ordered this cheap $305 19" LCD

    I do like my CRT but I'm gonna spruce up the desk a little...and the crt is startin to show signs of age.

    It's 305 bucks with free "3-4 day" fedex shipping.

    Hopefully it'll be ok, and last me till the summer, when prices will be a little lower and I'll be willing to buy a nice dual screen setup and give this one to my gramma.

    Anyone ever bought an Acer before?

          yea amzons reviews weren't enough for me to go on, only 3 and always one picky consumer...I'm well aware a 600 dollar dell is gonna look better. But i dont want one right now, I want a dual screen in the spring or summer.

          I'll have to let people know how I liked it. Out of 120 or so reviews on newegg the average was 5 stars...but at least half of those are from housewives who were able to plug it in and turn it on.

                  thats prety nice.. and a good price....i picked up a 19in jetway LCD from newegg before christmas. took a while to get the colors set how i like them but once i did.... man its sweet.

                      my only problem is the slower response time, but other similarly priced and specced lcds had other problems id rather not trade, like inability to adjust brightness settings, etc.

                      I use this computer for work...I dont really play games or watch movies on it anyway.

                                                                  I can't see how you like them. It's a good price for an LCD definately. If they're decent I might get one. I would like a dual monitor setup but I was thinking of 1 LCD and 1 CRT but my 19" CRT is huge and heavy. I'd much rather have a sleek LCD.

                                                                  (My other monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 191T+ and it's nice.)

                                                                      for 2 day vs 4 day it was an extra 38 bucks or something, I can wait 4 days. I paid the extra 4 dollars for "swift proccessing" meaning they put that order ahead of any regular orders to be sent out of the warehouse today.
