I own several guns and never shot anyone. It probably saved my live once. While walling my dog one night, some asshole and his friends stoped in thier pick-up truck and asked me where an ATM was. This was in the middle of a residential neighborhood. One of the three guys reached under the bench and I saw the but of a gun. As he pulled it out, I drew my 40 Cal Glock and pointed it dead in the faces. They spun off like a bat out of hell.
Point is, because I had my gun, bloodshed was prevented. It may be you in a simular situation someday. If you are not prepaired to protect yourself - it might be your blood that is shed.
