    Which Sites Don't Scam Affiliates...

OK, I've located my niche and I've signed up with as many sites as I can find that carry it. Now I'm going thru and and clicking through the way a surfer would,ie;on a thumbnail, then back to the console page, etc..., etc....and I am finding that the address in the location bar often loses my ID code. There are a few programs where I can read my ID in the location bar the whole way thru and I am going to promote those sites.

But it seems like the majority of sites manage to lose my ID# before the "typical surfer" would get to the join page...

If my ID does not always make it to the last page I can't see how I would get paid. Are these people cheating?

      Ok....

....so most of the companies where the URL doesnt show my affiliate code are running a script or using cookies....Hey, thanks for the link, that looks like a great program for the hardcore niche.

NC is the only sponser (that i know of) that counts every hit by specific links, which is great to see what galleries/freesites/etc are converting and which ones arent.

It seems reassuring to see that URL....

From CompuDollars:* You don't have to change your old linking codes * The features in the new linking codes: -- No more Cookie tracking: your ID will appear on every page and you'll see more signups.

INever, we are using both cookie and IP tracking to credit your sales through ccbill. Without the use of cookies you can't track successfully a returning surfer (after XX days) and the commission in that case is lost.

you know what, before getting into this biz, you might want to learn something about html basics, and the overall basics of the internet. you're not scammed when your id doesn't make it, there are things called cookies which are planted on the surfers computer so that even if he doesn't sign up on that visit but comes back up to 30 days later to the site and signs up you still get credit for the signup. that's the wonder of the internet

now, check out my best sponsor, pimproll from my sig, they are one of the few that pay weekly, which is a big time advantage

Lost cookies and outright shaving is a problem. Look for programs that use NATS for there affilate program. There is NO shave feature, and if you like extreme you'll love us check us out ......and good luck in the industry
