I've been busy experimenting with a few styles of model recruiting. Previously I would just run ads, and field responses. Worked ok, but never really worked perfectly. My girlfriend told me I should "build a relationship" with the people I'm talking to, in order to shoot the models I want to shoot - instead of just working with the people desperate for cash.

So do you find "getting to know them" and building a relationship with people works better than just throwing ads up?
