I was living in "monthly mansions" for the first 6 months... it's almost like a hotel suite but there's no lobby or staff. It's all furnished, there's TV, internet, phone, etc. but it's the size of a hotel room, so I needed something bigger. So I moved into a 3 bedroom apartment that is about 5 times bigger, but I feel it's temporary. What I want to do is find a house on or really close to the beach.
I've had a really hard time looking for houses around Naha. Unless I drive 30-40 minutes away, what they call houses are extremely close to each other (i'm talking 2-3 feet distance between buildings, I'll snap a pic to show you) and there's no land/grass/trees/whatever. They don't like to waste space like that... So I have a dilemma, either go far away from Naha, or learn to live like the japanese do.
Whatever choice I'll make, in my experience so far, Japanese housing is a LOT crappier than Canadian housing, but people don't give a shit.
