I had one when I lived in the burbs. She came over once a week. $55 and an extra $10 for each if she cleaned the stove or fridge.

4 BR/2.5 bathrooms, den, breakfast room, kitchen, living room, dining room.

what did they do exactly when cleaning? i'm considering hiring a maid. i hate cleaning the bathroom. $55 isnt that bad at all.

I have two maids and a cook. The cook I share with the Gracies and she keeps my diet optimized for Jiu-Jitsu, the maids I need because I'm a messy motherfucker but I like a clean house.

Five bedroom house / 2400 sq feet and I have a made come every week. I'd rather pay $100 a week and free up some of my wife's time for "other things".

She cleaned the kitchen (I put the dishes away), bathrooms, vacuumed, mopped, changed the sheets, dusted...I think that was about it. It would take her about 3 hours to do what it would take me weeks to do though

I also tried several of the cleaning franchises and wasn't happy with them. The girls couldn't care less IMHO because they aren't trying to form a long term relationship with you. Getting a single independent who knows she's out $$$$ if you fire her worked better for me. I had a neighbor who used her also so I knew she was trustworthy.

I had a cleaning lady that came in every week to help "straighten" things out.
It was like 80 bucks a month.

Good investment in my opinion when your living on your own.

Ive got a Columbian maid that comes in once a week and cleans the whole place. 4 beds, 3 baths, office, kitchen, etc and 2 large terraces

We had a woman clean every other week, she was a compulsive cleaner/neat freak...she does it b/c she likes it believe or not, she drives the new BMW, and she's VERY pretty, anytime someone saw her..they asked if she wanted more work!

She did just about everything...dishes, dusting, mopping, organized our mess/toys, windows, you name it, she did it.

$60 for the day, (and she also offered to come and cook for us,)

She spent 4 hours cleaning and organizing our daughter's walk-in closet one day (bins and all).

We have 3 full baths, 3 bedrms (including our master bedroom w/ master bath w/ stall shower and jacuzzi), dining rm, livingrm/great rm, office and a good size kitchen, and she did it all for us for $60! She's the best, couldn't live w/out her. We became friends too which was nice, we would hang out and bullshit. And to boot would occasionally babysit the youngest while she cleaned if I had to run some errands...my neighbor recommended her...had her for 4 years!

We use maid service... 3 girls come in and clean our place in about an hour. Total cost is $60 every 2 weeks. Not a big place either, 2 br's, living room, kitchen and bathroom.

Been thru loads of maids till one suited. They were either thieves, just lazy or useless - and I'll tolerate anything, but that was too much :-)

Got an excellent maid now - full time and does everything and stays outta my space and costs $220/month. (May be cheap - but that's the going rate where I am).

When I'm in Colombia, I have a maid clean the apartment (2 bed room) twice a week. She does laundry, dishes, sweeps the entire apartment and balcony, changes and washes bedding and towels and dusts everything. $10 USD per visit.

If I need her to, she will also go food shopping for me. Still haven't worked in the hand job though...

Would not have one in the US. I live in Ohio / Kentucky area and the last thing I need is some hillbilly chain smoker in my house stealing shit or snooping around my office.
