Our country was only able to revolt against England becuase we had the firearms to fight back. Our forefathers wrote that into the constitution because they had the wisdom to realize that to remain the free country they envisoined, citizens might have to do that again some time... It hasn't happened, and hopefully it wont ever, but its there...
