I heard through the grapevine that ibill is going to file bankruptcy by this March. Basically closing there doors for good. Anyone else heard or read such a thing about this. I wonder if it's true or just a rumor. Bastards owe me lot of money and I'm sure they owe you guys alot too. Any suggestions on what to do?

Not really much you can do now. If they file in March, even if you do get money from them its all subject to recall if you are given preferential treatment.SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.Comment

The grapevine is not the most reliable source!! :-)Ibill to file bankruptcy by March of this year.
Tho.. ya may well be correct.
If it is their own decision, rest assured it serves more than one purpose.
But the flip side of the coin is whether a fraud investigation "forces" this first.
Time will tell.XXX TLD's - Another mosquito to swat.Comment

Sorry you are owed money.. but no chance in hell of being settled on back payments.Originally posted by MegaPartner_EriCSo I guess the best scenario here is to wait it out and hope to get paid on the back payments.
You can either take debt recovery action now. If you have (as a few do) any documentation to suggest conspiracy to defraud, - pass this to the Florida Attorney General who has other cases with him.
If they declare liquidation in the meantime, you will lose any legal fees - it's a gamble all round :-)
If iBill initiate their bankruptcy, rest assured this will immediately be converted to a criminal bankruptcy issue and an investigation started.XXX TLD's - Another mosquito to swat.Comment

Not having a enough money is not criminal, giving a date and not being able to come thru. Sucks for the people owed but its not criminal. They have made payments since this nightmare started I still hope they come thru and Im rooting for them because I want to get paid pure and simple.Originally posted by WebbySorry you are owed money.. but no chance in hell of being settled on back payments.

Grapevine or not, It's really the only solution for them. I just feel really bad for all the people that got screwed by this. I have said it here before. 3rd party blows. Who said not having enough money is criminal? Not me - and never have said that :-)
There are a number of issues which give more than any rational cause to consider these criminal. In fact, in some instances it is very simple and clean cut, - but I'm not gotta discuss that here.
Sure, most people would like to be paid. The fact that they have "made payments since this nightmare started" is irrelevant.
There are many webmasters out there holding bounced checks, some have not been paid since long before the "nightmare" started and others are being lied to daily, - even now. The chances of being paid are not even worth considering.
What's the point of rooting for a fraudulent company controlled by known scammers and who continue to lie, yet have control of the funds of others and, despite "we have every intention of paying", are unable/not willing to give any security for this in the form of "promissory notes" which were promised months back?
They are finished... and the sooner this comes to fruition the better, and with all funds remaining out of their control.

Ibill could do a lot to minimize the damage if they would help clients who are facing sizeable losses. I've seen a few programs for sale and a lot of operators simply wiped out due to this.
They should be offering to give up rebill databases freely and helping to place clients with new processors if that's what is required. If they adopted a "We can earn your business back once it's fixed" attitude it would go very very far in alleviating this customer service meltdown.
I've done a lot of business with them and I am sincerely hoping that they can pull it together. I feel they are in a difficult spot with those who hold all the power at the banks and it may be insurmountable. I don't blame them for what's happened, but the way it's been dealt with and the wall of silence presented to their clients is not positive.Comment

That is, tho not *actually* criminal, one of the most damning things about this scenario - that iBill can cause many others much damage. But suppose that is the risk of trading and where good judgement comes into play in not allowing any one company to hold substantial rebills. The third party processing biz have already proven they cannot be trusted to this level - they are not banks and have no controlling or oversight body.Originally posted by ShoplifterIbill could do a lot to minimize the damage if they would help clients who are facing sizeable losses. BTW.. Your comments about the "power at the banks" and "I don't blame them.." ....
It appears banks just don't trust the principals involved with iBill - one woman I spoke with who is an director of a merchant bank said outright that she would not dream of dealing with them and called the CMI stuff "Crap!" :-)
Also, a judge when presented with the background declared, "all of iBill's problems are of their own making". That, together with some other info/docs, leave me in no doubt that is the case and deserve nada consideration in any area.XXX TLD's - Another mosquito to swat.Comment

Im not going to get into this again its getting boring but the check problem was they changed banks they let webmasters know . Which they can prove so thats not criminal. You all forget globil here one day gone the next , so giving some payments shows a clear intent to try pay. You promise your credit card company your going to pay them and dont. do the cops knock on your door?Comment

Correct in some instances that have been well-publicised, - wrong on the instances I'm referring to and these are criminal if the debtor proceeds along that avenue.Im not going to get into this again its getting boring but the check problem was they changed banks they let webmasters know . They also can't prove *anything* in these cases, - they are clean cut fraud and not in dispute by iBill.

Mmm.. I never absorbed the end of your last message.
There is a lot more to iBill than that - dunno, but is appears you may have missed a lot along the way or being fed information that has little substance.
Cos they have no money is not the reason for criminal - it never was. It's all the rest that gives rise to the criminal aspect.Last edited by Webby; 02-03-2005, 03:05 PM.XXX TLD's - Another mosquito to swat.Comment
