    Halcyon's Thoughts on Freedom (silliness & pic)

    It's a crazy world we live in, and sometimes all the injustice becomes overwhelming. But weeks like this make me so proud to be in a democratic country that I want to go wave a flag on a mountaintop. I'm sure you have been watching TV, too?so you know what I'm talking about.

    Yes, a new season of American Idol has started!



    Sure, some people are excited about free elections in Iraq, but to me, there is nothing sweeter than watching tone-deaf idiots butcher popular music in front of millions of people. Then WE get to vote on them. Now THAT is freedom!!!

    We may frown on public executions in this country, but public ridicule is alive and well.

    In fact, I think ?God-given right to mock? may even be in the US constitution somewhere. So. Darn. Proud.

    Oh no?I promised myself I wouldn't cry?

    Whew. *sniff* I need a second here while I get my shit together?

                                                                  i gotta admit. i get off on watching the failure. theres just something about watching people fall on their ass that is brutally entertaining. everyone thinks entertaining is easy.

                                                                  not to mention they set them up for failure. its is so hard to sound good cold acapella in a room with no reverb and no mics or processing units.
