This is how I see it:
If a person illegally enters my house, depending on what they're doing / how their acting, I'm either going to kick them out or shoot them. I don't give a shit where you came from, only that you entered my residence without permission.
I see it no different with a country's borders.
If those trying to enter the country are currently starving, destitute and have no hope of a future; that sucks, but such is life. There's plenty of people in my country starving, destitute, poor, stupid who should be helped first.

With that aside, the US is pretty fucked. Unless someone puts some sterilization juice to the water systems, the Mexicans will procreate any other group out of existence.
