keep in mind, the 800K price tag being floated around is all speculation generated from this thread...

I was allowed to buy-in, but unfortunately my sale of melon.com happened around Thanksgiving, after the doors were closed for new bidders.

Last I heard, an average house in Silicon Valley sells for $640,000.

So, at what price does a "good sized" house sell? Obviously more. Maybe $800,000. Maybe a mil. It depends on your definition of "good sized." My guess is that a mil is a safe estimate for a good sized house.

It's a very very good domain name. Easily worth a California house. Even a good sized house.
