Godaddy I thought was a good company NOT ANYMORE

So a client calls me today and said his domain is down. I looked in godaddy and it was on expired term, for how long who knows, all the sudden the next day its not in my account, I called them and they told me that it fell under redemption and its $80 to get back into the account. What a rip off!!!

    FUK U GODADDY

Im gonna transfer all my domains to networksolutions or someplace!

    any recomendations?

People are fools to still use godaddy, their support is way sub-par.

I've used namecheap for about 2 years, but now using Moniker almost exclusively. They kick much ass.

and of course you got no emails from them. Yet people will claim they always send them which I also know is bullshit. I had one domain with them and for no real reason I logged in to check in on it (I do this every so often) and lo and behold it was going to expire that night. Email was correct in the admin and they had not sent a single damn email. I even checked my spam folders and everything, nadda.

so they deleted it from your account 1 day after it expired? or it took you 30days to notice it expired?

I was just checking some of my mainstream domains and lo and behold, no emails, and I got valid emails there. I lost a couple shit domain not even worth the $8 renewal, but I am lucky I was able to salvage the most important ones by renewing ahead of time. I think we have a real conspiracy by godaddy there to extort $80 for each "forgotten" renewal
          .

I have hundreds of domains at godaddy and have never had a problem, I get several emails prior to losing a domain, 90day, 60 day, 30day and a final/last chance
