I wanna chip my xbox, think i might put the xecuter 3 solderless on, with 160gb hd or somehthing. Anyone chipped your own xbox, show me pics tell me how easy it is, if it is. Oh and where did you buy the chips cheap. If you know where i can get them cheap in the uk, tell me. Its about £50 for the solderless x3.

Soft mod is better and doesnt require any hardware changes and soldering.
You can put it back to stock whenever you want also.
Think of it as upgrading the bios, which is pretty much what it is.
It will aloow you to play burnt games and play dvds no problem.Comment

I didn't do mine myself but paid to have a new hard drive put in etc. Being able to copy games right to the hard drive is handy. I've got it hooked up to the net too for downloading divx movies etc. Well worth the money.
